DESCRIPTION:Chipride Volunteering + Nourishing Hope \n  \nWhen: Saturday\, May 17th\, 2025\nTime: 9:00 – 11:30 am\nLocation: Nourishing Hope – The Hub\, 5151 N Ravenswood Ave\, Chicago\, IL 60640 \nTotal Spots Available: 15 \n  \nDescription: Join other LGBTQ+ and Ally volunteers as we help Nourishing Hope pack Home Delivery bags/boxes for their clients! Our group will be packing food in one of three lines: the produce line\, dry goods line\, or the dairy/freezer line. If needed\, the shift may also include box making. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. Moderate lifting required for some volunteers. \n  \nLocation\, Parking\, and Public Transportation: Street parking is available but can be limited. We recommend arriving early to allow time to find parking. The Hub is easily accessible via public transportation.   \n  \nNourishing Hope Mission: Nourishing Hope through food\, mental health and social services so that all of our neighbors can thrive. We provide a healthy and diverse range of groceries for our Chicago neighbors. We personalize food distribution – matching our guests with the food they want and need. We offer licensed\, trained professionals working with clients experiencing depression\, anxiety\, grief\, or other stressors\, getting at root causes of mental illness. No insurance is required. We provide respectful assistance in navigating state and local resources available\, while supporting a plan for a healthy\, stable life. We work with our neighbors to overcome any obstacles. \n  \nChipride Volunteering Mission: Chipride Volunteering connects Chicago’s diverse LGBTQ+ community and allies through unified volunteerism. We strive to create a more inclusive city by centralizing opportunities that support a variety of nonprofits\, fostering connection and driving positive change at a local level.
