Help make room for native flora and fauna by using hand tools to cut and burn invasive brush like buckthorn. In partnership with the Forest Preserves of Cook County\, restoring these habitats makes a positive difference for amphibians and other wildlife. Buckthorn outcompetes native plant species for important nutrients needed to thrive. \nShedd Aquarium Mission: Sparking compassion\, curiosity and conservation for the aquatic animal world. A world thriving with aquatic life\, sustained by people who love\, understand and protect it. \nChipride Volunteering Mission: Chipride Volunteering connects Chicago’s diverse LGBTQ+ community and allies through unified volunteerism. \nWe strive to create a more inclusive city by centralizing opportunities that support a variety of nonprofits\, fostering connection and driving positive change at a local level.
