Description: Join other LGBTQ+ and Ally volunteers as we help Nourishing Hope pack Home Delivery bags/boxes for their clients! Our group will be packing food in one of three lines: the produce line, dry goods line, or the dairy/freezer line. If needed, the shift may also include box making. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. Moderate lifting required for some volunteers.

Nourishing Hope asks that all volunteers complete on online registration and waiver before the event. We’ll provide instructions for doing so after you register at the Chipride Volunteering website.

Location, Parking, and Public Transportation: Street parking is available but can be limited. We recommend arriving early to allow time to find parking. The Hub is easily accessible via public transportation.  

Nourishing Hope Mission: Nourishing Hope through food, mental health and social services so that all of our neighbors can thrive. We provide a healthy and diverse range of groceries for our Chicago neighbors. We personalize food distribution – matching our guests with the food they want and need. We offer licensed, trained professionals working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, or other stressors, getting at root causes of mental illness. No insurance is required. We provide respectful assistance in navigating state and local resources available, while supporting a plan for a healthy, stable life. We work with our neighbors to overcome any obstacles.
