Description: Join LGBTQ+ and Ally Volunteers as we partner with Common Pantry to distribute groceries to people in need! We’ll be helping distribute food and household items to their clients on a weekday evening. Please try to arrive by 5:30 PM, as there will be a quick training session before they open their doors at 6 PM.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Please have long hair pulled back.

Parking/Transportation: Paid parking is available on Lincoln Ave. Free parking can be found on the side streets (Byron, Grace, just west of Damen), and they are close to multiple bus lines and the Brown Line.

Common Pantry Mission: Common Pantry meets the emergency needs of our local community by providing healthy food, kinship, and support to help overcome poverty-related challenges. Our vision: Strengthen Common Pantry’s capacity to provide food and services for the overall well-being of our clients. We take a strategic, forward-thinking approach to reduce hunger and
address the root causes of poverty, infusing compassion into everything we do.
